In Other Words is accepting donations of books and some library materials (shelves, bookends etc.). Please read the guidelines below before bringing in books:
If you have 3 medium sized boxes or less you can drop them off during business hours.
If you have more than 3 boxes of books, or other items such as shelving, please email info@inotherwords.org to make a donation arrangement.
If you’d like a donation receipt:
Leave (or email) your name, email, address, and total number of books with the volunteer working and we will mail you a tax deductible donation receipt.
We DO NOT accept any textbooks over 2 years old or any books with sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise oppressive themes.
Where will your books go?
Depending on need, your books will be sorted and used for any of the following:
For check out in our lending library, sold, traded for other books our library needs, donated to Books to Prisoners, donated to Street Books, or donated to another non-profit organization. Check out our library wish list on Library Thing to see which books we need.
